THE doors of Brierley Hill Civic Hall are being thrown open to all members of the community that want to be involved in getting new events and activities up and running.

Dudley Council for Voluntary Service (CVS), a charity based in the town which recently took on the management of the civic hall, is keen to have the centre open more often with a greater variety of events.

Members of the public, whether residents, artists, entertainers or promoters, from all types of organisations, such as businesses, charities and educational establishments, will be invited in to the civic hall on Tuesday, March 3, between 2pm and 4pm.

People attending will be able to tour the space, ask questions and have a say in the activities that could take place there to get more people using the hall.

Andy Gray, Dudley CVS chief officer, said: “There’s so much potential for Brierley Hill Civic Hall to become home to many more groups and activities, particularly during the daytime.

“We want to encourage local talent to use the civic hall to showcase their skills.

“The civic is a vibrant community hub for everyone and I’m really looking forward to meeting people who want to make great things happen there.”
