The tour kicked-off bright and early from Kidderminster at 8am and after a pilgrimage to The Hawthorns the official tour got underway with our first stop Northampton Town.

A visit to a hockey stadium on a football tour sounds odd but as the home of Milton Keynes Dons it was necessary.

We arrived just as the world's worst car boot sale was finishing up, followed by the world's worst car park (minus any tarmac) at the world's worst ground (covered in racist graffiti).

A stadium which screams Premiership status Norwich City's Carrow Road served as a more glamorous tonic.

East Anglian rivals Ipswich followed and I had my picture taken with ex-England boss Bobby Robson! Not the real one of course, a six-foot metal statue.

Colchester United was next with a ground surrounded by houses amd in need of a revamp.

A tea-time trip to the seaside and Southend's Roots Hall rounded off our 12 hour and 350-mile opening day.
