A day of glitz, glamour and clebrity beckoned as we finish the London leg of our stadium voyage.

West Brom mad TV host Adrian Chiles, who befriended Steve during the last year of his life, joined us as a tour team-mate, meeting us by the BBC Television Centre.

He took us for a quick snap at QPR walking past the wonderfully named near-by 'Ocean Billy's chip shop.

The old adage 'Its not what you know but who you know' was no better illustrated than at Chelsea.

On the approach to Stamford Bridge Adrian called former Chelsea striker Gavin Peacock who kindly arranged a star-studded guided tour for us.

Chelsea were wonderful. Giving us a trip around the museum, pitchside pictures and a photo with the Carling Cup they won in February.

In a private anorak moment I even touched the trophy.

Donating three family stadium tours at £65 each to the fund capped off a visit.

The big clubs get knocked for losing touch with fans but definatley not here.

A tube and train trek capped off the day with Charlton's Valley stadium looking better in the flesh than on TV.

Millwall's Den home was shut when we got there but either way we wouldn't have hung around there for too long.

With the capital chalked off, it was back in the bus for a just-before-dark snap at Brighton.Unfortunately the worst ground so far as a football team currently play in an athletics venue.

Signed shirts from Crystal Palace and on the pitch at Brentford had earlier kicked-off our quest in earnest.

A tiring but entirely rewarding donation filled day draws to a close with magical memories to savour.
