Entries have been flooding in for our Mustapha’s Well of Life Appeal primary schools design-a-plaque competition.
A total of 292 children sent us entries and judging will take place at the end of the week by a panel including Stourbridge MP Margot James.
The winner will receive a brand new Hudl2 tablet courtesy of sponsors Tesco and their design will be made into a sign and taken to the village of Sintet by members of Ridgewood High School’s Project Gambia initiative next March and be erected in honour of Mustapha - who died last year after falling into a well in the village while trying to draw water - alongside our Well of Life Appeal solar-powered water pump and irrigation system, which is soon to be installed thanks to generous readers who donated a total of £11,330 to the appeal.
Meanwhile, here are ALL the entries we received in our Mustapha’s Well of Life Gallery. Thank you and well done to all the children involved.
