ROADS across Dudley are set to be closed to traffic next week, motorists have been warned.

Dudley Council is shutting Dudley Road in Brierley Hill between Venture Way and Level Street between 9pm on Tuesday (May 10) until 6am on Wednesday (May 11).

The road is closing in order for a new BT connection to be safely installed.

Motorists will be diverted along alternative routes through Level Street and Venture Way.

There will also be a closure in Stourbridge, as Parkfield Road is being shut to vehicles during Saturday (May 14) and Sunday (May 15).

The road will shut between its junctions with Burnt Oak Drive and Vauxhall Road to allow alterations to be carried out on the carriageway following work to the railway bridge.

The diversion route will see motorists taken off Parkfield Road onto Church Street, Junction Road, Steppingstones, Birmingham Street (A458), Foster Street East, before heading back onto Parkfield Road and vice versa.
