A STOURBRIDGE musician is bringing a country music club back to the Garibaldi tonight (Saturday March 4) for the first time in decades.

Singer and guitarist Pete Boddis is bringing the Stourbridge Country Music Club back to the venue in Cross Street where it will run monthly on the first Saturday of every month thereafter.

The event marks a return to his roots for Pete who started a country music club at the pub more than 50 years ago back in 1970 - with artists coming from all over the country to perform there.

Tonight’s event will feature Abacus as the main support act, plus four song sets from the Clarkes and Alan Warden before Pete takes to the stage with Pete Arrowsmith on lead guitar and Findlay Mackinnon on cahon to finish the night off.

Pete said. “It’ll be good to be back there.”

Doors open at 8pm and there’ll be live music from 8.30 to 10.30pm.

Admission is £3.
