FANS of Midlands band The Twang have two chances to catch the indie rockers close to home.

The band, comprising Stourbridge-based lead singer Phil Etheridge, drummer Ash Sheehan, bassist Jon Watkin, guitarist Stu Hartland, are still going strong nearly 20 years after they first formed in 2004.

Their mixed dance beats and catchy indie guitar riffs saw them become favourites of daytime radio DJs and music magazines like the NME.

Their successful debut album Love It When I Feel Like This charted at number 3 off the back of hit singles Wide Awake & Either Way and was followed by four more albums. The band have toured the UK extensively, supporting everyone from Doves to Shed Seven, along with huge headlining shows of their own.

Now 18 years on from their 100,000-copy selling debut album, the guys are still going strong and are excited to have ‘hometown’ shows lined up just before Christmas as part of their latest UK tour.

They will be taking to the stage at The Wulfrun, Wolverhampton, on Friday December 15 and Birmingham’s O2 Institute on Saturday December 23.
