LOVE at first sight is hard to find. It took me 50 years. My soul mate was 11 years my senior.
Fundraising for sick children on C2 at Wordsley Hospital was our objective, the game of chess, the means. Twenty five years of marriage was our reward.
On June 20, the parting came.
In a service filled with care, support and sympathy led by Sarah, her first at this venue it was plain to see. In the pews were friends, family there at the beginning and then at the end.
How can I say thank you for that. It was symbolised in a chess board made of flowers by Marion Webster. The love was reflected in all present, tears of sadness were tears of gratitude.
Thank you for being there for me and my Geoff.
