OLDSWINFORD & Stourbridge Social missed out on a place in the top flight of the Worcestershire Cricket League despite a final-day defeat of Stourbridge Social.

A seven-wicket win came courtesy of restricting the away side to 218-9, a target they romped to in 36 overs, however, Bewdley's four-wicket win at Wormelow put paid to any aspirations of taking a top two berth.

Lye closed their campaign with a hard-fought three-wicket win at Cookley.

Cookley 's M Bennett 60 and A Gorrol 46 in a score of 255. C Pestridge grabbed 4-32 but Imran Ruiz (61) and Jat Dahdwal (60) were the mainstay of the visitor's reply.

In division one, Hagley finished their campaign with a resounding 185-run win at Harvington. J. Lennon made 87 and A Ali 95 as they rattled up 362-6 before dismissing the hosts for just 177.

Pedmore were just outside the promotion places and they finished strongly beating Evesham by 211 runs. The hosts were all out for 330 with before the visitors were shot out for only 119.

Skelding made 94, Jones 83 and Burgoyne 62 and then the former and latter did the damage with the ball, Skelding finishing with 4-30 and Burgoyne and even more impressive 4-19.

Belbroughton's season finished with defeat at Worcester Nomads, their 111 all out never likely to be enough as Patrick O'Driscoll took 4-17, the hosts then easing to 116-4 and a six-wicket win but they were still pipped for second by Pershore.
