CRADLEY ace Arron Mogridge is looking to make up for lost time when he starts a busy August at reserve in the crucial clash with Birmingham.

Mogridge has suffered a sticky spell with a loss of confidence and will be relegated to the bottom two of the side by Ellis Perks.

He makes his first appearance in the crucial lower order slot against runaway leaders Birmingham on August 5.

Now he’s hoping to start piling up the points and play a crucial role as the Heathens chase National League glory.

Mogridge said: “It’s been a rough few weeks for me, I’ve not been scoring very well and I’ve been well aware I’ve been underperforming.

“When you are struggling it takes its toll on your confidence, and it can be hard to get out of that so having a good meeting against Stoke was really important.

“I was making good starts, and I had four paid wins out of five which was good and exactly what I needed.

“I want to keep my confidence high now and keep scoring points, I definitely don’t want to go back to riding as I was because it certainly doesn’t feel great.

“It’s going to be tough, but hopefully I can turn things around now and find some consistency again because that’s the main thing for me.”

Mogridge will also feature in the club’s prestigious individual event, the F.A.S.T Golden Hammer, at Perry Barr on August 12.

Heathens bosses have revealed the meeting will be free for children, the first 100 will receive a free flag and there will also be a giant colour poster given away with every programme.

Birmingham star Adam Ellis will be one of the pre-meeting favourites along with Heathens skipper Max Clegg, Eastbourne’s new sensation Bradlewy Wilson-Dean, Wolverhampton’s Josh Bates and former Heathens favourite Ashley Morris.
