BLACK Country Triathletes once again took podium slots at last weekend’s Ludlow Sprint triathlon which involved a 400m swim, a 26km bike and a 6.25km run.

Paul Rogers was first home for the club in a time of 1.15.19 which saw him finish third overall and first Male Vet50.

Keith Bate also took first place in his age group, Male Vet60, finishing in 1.25.09 with Chris Pedley coming home in 1.34.11 to come in 3rd.

Chris Wood finished seventh overall in 1.16.04 which put him in third place in the Male Vet40 age group.

Also racing was Tim Lake who finished in 1.22.21, Scott Palmer in 1.24.50, Lauren Evans in 1.29.34, Gary Hickman in 1.35.07, Edward Horgan in 1.37.20, Shameer Gopal in 1.45.38 and Lorraine Gaytten in 2.00.34.

The juniors were also on form with three athletes travelling to Shipston on Stour to compete in the Stratford Aquathlon, the last race in the junior West Midlands Series.

Joel Humpage finished the season on a high coming home third in his age group in 15.22 for a 300m swim and a 2.75km run.

Lydia Silk, also in the same age group, finished in seventh in 17.05 and Abbie Kennard finished fifth in the TS2 age group in 9.42 following a 200m swim and a 1.7km run.
