CRADLEY Town are staring down the barrel of a gun after 10 games this season.

The Hammers are languishing second from bottom in the West Midlands Regional League with eight points after two wins, two draws and six losses.

Saturday’s 2-0 away defeat to AFC Bridgnorth took the team to its fourth game without a win and saw them slip behind Dudley Sports who have played one game less.

Only stricken Gornal FC are below them with zero points after 10 straight defeats and shipping 30 goals.

If Cradley’s winless streak continues co-manager Andy Wyton might go through with his threat to bench his senior players and “just start with the kids.”

They have respite from a midweek game this week due to FA Vase fixtures being played.

Former Gornal boss Wyton and co-manager Mark Jones take on Stone Old Alleynians at The Beeches on Saturday.

The Stone Old Alleynians game starts a four game run at home which gives Cradley a chance to pick up points against Wellington Amateurs, Willenhall Town and Dudley Sports – teams also languishing in the bottom half of the table.
